Utilising reliability science as outlined by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and introducing evidence-based core measures of developmental care, Children's Medical Ventures has created a standard and process to benchmark practice improvement relative to developmentally supportive care. These core measures are incorporated into our quality improvement programmes:

A fun and interactive workshop
(Two 4 hour workshops per day)

Preemie for a Day is an interactive, multi-sensory training programme that contrasts the experience of the infant in a traditional environment to a developmentally supportive one. This unique programme includes an overview of developmental care as well as hands-on workshops on admissions, positioning, feeding and addressing the needs of the family. The programme, led by our clinically active faculty, consists of two 4-hour workshops per day and is designed for up to 35 people per 4 hour session. Clinical Application of Research, Reliability and Education The Global Car2e programme takes place over 6-9 months and will focus on two core measures. In most cases, The Healing Environment will be strongly suggested along with another core measure selection by the hospital group.

Programme activities include:

• A pre-programme site assessment
• An eight hour education module
• A strategic workshop
• Three follow-up visits

This combination of activities, supervised by the lead consultant and clinical education manager, ensure goal attainment and sustainability of practice change in your clinical setting.

The Wee Focus Programme was created to address one of the five core measures of developmentally supportive care. This programme is meant for a hospital team who wants to understand the impact of quality improvement and implementation strategy relative to a focused goal selection.

Typically, this 4-6 month programme is broken down into four phases:

• A pre-programme site assessment
• A two day educational programme for staff
• A clinical follow-up visit
• A summary visit
